So-called pure bred dogs with narrower and longer joints, obese dogs are more at risk from arthritis.

As with any type of treatment the best type is prevention.

No dog lover wants a sick dog and for your optimum dog health you need to provide the following to prevent disease.

Daily exercise with a well-balanced diet containing the right minerals and vitamins. There must a good daily grooming session involving cleaning and brushing of their skin, ears, face, hair and teeth. A yearly visit to the vet is crucial and you being able to notice when your dog behaves any different to normal are the key for detection and early treatment.
